Symptoms and those at risk
Common symptoms: fatigue, irregular or heavy periods, tiredness, constipation, weight gain, feeling depressed, poor memory, and concentration.
People most at risk of developing Hypothyroidism: anyone can develop hypothyroidism; however, those most at risk include women, over 60s, people with a family history of thyroid disease, people with an autoimmune disease, had radioactive iodine therapy or anti-thyroid medications, had thyroid surgery, pregnant women or have delivered a baby within the past six months.
